    Are your required to have a bank account in Ecuador to receive the funds required by the 9-I: Pensioner Visa? Can you use a US bank and then transfer the funds?

    No, an Ecuadorian bank account is not required. But if you are 65 or older and want to get your 12% IVA refund each month you must have a local account for electronic deposits.
