I’m hoping to make a trip to check out the highlands and coast in August, but in case I’m not able to get that together, my next available time to go is the second half of October. Can someone tell me if that would be a good time to go? I’m getting the impression that the weather might not be that good at that time. Thanks!
The weather should be just fine during October. You might run into a little rain in your travels, but the wet season is not likely to be in full swing at that time. And even when it is rainy here we usually get nice periods of sun between showers too.
Lilie, you can historically expect better weather in October than August, but keep in mind seasonal differences in Ecuador are much narrower than you may be accustomed to. In other words, there’s no “bad” time to visit weather-wise.
