My husband and I hope to move to Ireland but have run into a wall regarding health insurance.

We are 77 so ineligible by age for the public system. My husband is well, walks up to 6 miles daily, but had a defibrillator placed several years ago for ventricular tachycardia. Due to the device, no company will insure him.

Do you know of any means of gaining medical insurance in Ireland in such a case?

Failing that, would we run into the same obstacle in the UK, Italy, France, Cyprus, Malta, or Greece? (We just need to be in Europe for a while.)

    Thank you for help and
    suggestions.
