Looking for a medium sized town, near a beach, where temperatures are in the mid 70s from January to March.
Must be close to excellent medical facilities. Any suggestions?
With that temperature range, you’re best best is the western Central Valley, including towns like Grecia, Atenas, or San Ramon, even Puriscal, Escazu, or Santa Ana. Any closer to the beach and the temperature goes up. The Central Valley is also where the country’s best medical facilities are located.
All that and you are just an hour or so from the beach, the Central Pacific coast to be specific.
San Ramon is about an hour west of the San Jose airport on the InterAmericana Highway. There are taxis available directly from the airport. And you should also be able to arrange a private or shared shuttle beforehand. Probably the best option if you’re planning to explore the area is to rent a car. There are several agencies at the airport.
