In the Ecuadorian highlands bugs are not a problem at all. As you move to lower elevations you will encounter more insects of every description. Stray dogs are part of the landscape here, but you see very few stray cats.
Thanks Ed! I imagine there are all sorts of interesting bugs (some of which I find fascinating), it’s just the ones that invade my home that I’m not too crazy about. Right now I live in the country and mice are are biggest concern, but I thought bugs might be more problematic in Ecuador. Are the stray dogs dangerous? (I’ve read about packs of dogs hunting humans in India…the thought kind of creeps me out.)
