im headed to Costa Rica Aug 19th for three weeks. Bekah, I’ll be coming to Costa Rica for three weeks Aug 19-Sep 7 I will be in Tamarindo and would like to get more info about the RETA, Playa Flamingo and any other possible options for moving to Costa Rica. i cant purchase, or rent, without seeing and experiencing. I plan on traveling to most all parts of CR and seeing and photographing birds in all evosystems. Your knowledge would be invaluable if you have time for an extra coffee/tea break. We also often see good rentals posted on expat community Facebook groups like All Things Coronado but I recommend seeing units in person before committing to a rental found on Facebook for any number of days.

I always book myself into a hotel or Airbnb or similar (something with excellent reviews) for a few days while I go see options for longer-term in person.

A Canadian tourist was killed in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, during a home invasion and robbery on July 11.
It is very sad and was very close to my home. This invasion happened on Los Jobos, the back road going into Tamarindo. Personally, I chose to live in a gated community surrounded by neighbors and with a 24 hour guard becuase I feel safer in this type of environment, even 11 year ago when I built my home when there were no such incidents like this occuring.
