    I’ve heard nothing about this possibility. I don’t believe there’s enough demand at this time.

    There is some work going on to enhance this airport and rumors abound that Aerogal will bring in flights from Miami, but I am not sure there is any basis in fact here. They are able to call it an “international airport” because it is large enough to welcome small jets — but the only truly international flights would be small planes or charters coming from Colombia, Peru, Panama, etc.
