Thanks for the info. If we decide to move to Belize we will rent for at least a year before we consider any purchase. Unless of course something really great presents itself. I appreciate your clear understanding g of the situation and will definitely seek the advice of long-term experts like yourself along with an attorney before committing To a purchase.

MIKE T.ParticipantThat is really good info. Looks like I would be better off if I think I need a car, just rent it when actually needed. And worry about whether I want to bring one down after I decide if we are staying permanently.
MIKE T.ParticipantAppreciate the opportunity to ask questions. I have quite a few. We are going to travel to Belize late April Early May 2015. We plan to visit Caye Caulker, Ambergris Caye, Placencia, and Corozal. We are looking at possibility of moving. We are flying this trip but may drive down for a longer follow up trip. If we drive, is their any issue with monthly visa renewals and continuing to drive our vehicle for an extended period? Thanks.
