ParticipantLinda and Jessica,
Thanks much for your resposes. this positive infomration is valuable and useful as we evaluate our future in Panama. Nothing that has happened has disuaded us from coming down in Jan, Feb and March to rent in Coranado and Boquete.

ParticipantJessica, My wife and I will be arriving on Feb 21 from 20 days and renting a car most of that time to drive around Panama. Will the above pass affect me in my rental car? Long lines to go thru tolls? any way to avoid?
Also, we plan to just rent a sedan, not a 4×4 vehicle – is that ok to go most places?
Thanks much,
BobROBERT MASTERSON
ParticipantJason, Thanks. You mentioned that our visit will coincide with the high tourist season. We were aware of that but do not know the significance of that. Please contrast the impacts of that on prices, availability, crowds to see tourist things as well as evaluating potential living conditions, etc. We may not have much flexibility to reschedule or wait. However, what would be the earliest/best time to come to avoid the worst of the high season impacts and avoid the muddy road conditions etc associated with the wet season?

ParticipantJason, Thanks. I am sure that I will have additional questions. Bob
