Hi, I am not an expeert but I can share what I know so far. If you are looking for legal council for residency citizenship, I am working with Costa Rica Immigration Experts.(C.R.I.E.) I did some of the document Apostiles myself, rather than sending the documents for them to send for the Apostile, but, I had an issue with our background checks and my husbands birth certificate, since he was born in Germany to American parents. They could have said, send them to us and we will charge you to do it. Instead, the CRIE legal team refered my to a company that answered my questions. CRIE said when we got the docs apostiled that they would translate them and when we get to Costa Rica in Nov, they will set up our appointment(s) with immigration. I was impressed that they did not try to sell us on using them. They were very responsive.
