SUZIE HARPParticipant
Hello to anyone out there who have received the notes from Jon. I’ve been requesting them since March of this year when I joined and still have not received. We just got our certification of SS income back from the Ecuadorian Consulate in Washington, D.C.
Have decided for numerous reasons to not get a container…suitcases and bins only so very frustrating as we haven’t sold our house, ALL our household items, etc.I paid my annual dues and still no response on requested notes. Thank you in advance for sending, whoever you may be.

Jon, I have requested many times in the past several months for the notes mentioned in all the previous requests; however, not sure why I still haven’t received them. I have been a member of the Ecuador Insider since the early part of this year. We are working on our Visas as I write this request. Today I sent my Social Security information (apostilled by the Secretary of State in Virginia) to the Ecuadorian Consulate in Washington, D.C. for certification. We have rented a home in Cuenca beginning October 1st of this year. Can’t wait to finally call Cuenca home, so hopefully, someone can send me your notes to help get through this tedious process. My email address is: suziebug98@gmail.com
Thanks so very much.
Suzie Harp FahrmanSUZIE HARPParticipantThe first two times we came to Cuenca (’11 and ’13) we never saw a drop of rain. I always bragged to everyone back in the states, that Cuenca was going to be our little paradise on earth when we moved here. I arrived on May 31st..(my hubby will join me in a couple of weeks when he retires). He’s going to bring our large “golf” umbrella, because my little girlie one isn’t gettin’ it. We have had rain every day, sometimes downpours. It was a beautiful morning here..my sister-in-law who is always cold, came home from the market and she was sweating! We had lunch at Don Colon’s (3x’s in a wk) and he moved our table in a few feet when the rain came from nowhere. The rain brought beautiful temps and we got an ice cream and sat at Parque Calderon. Came back home and now it’s chilly..GOTTA LOVE CUENCA and we do!!!
SUZIE HARPParticipantHi Jon –
In Cuenca now for 7 weeks (my third trip). I came to try to find us an apt/casa before my hubby (John)joins me when he retires in a couple of weeks. After three days of being totally exhausted (be prepared to you all out there who are about to do the same), I found the perfect casa for us. We are so excited..great that he trusts me 🙂 I have requested your notes before Christmas; however, didn’t receive them….would love to have them now. Thanks so much! Suzie and John Fahrman
suziebug98@gmail.comSUZIE HARPParticipantHi Jon, Suzan and Dan
I joined on March 1st and stayed up until 3-4a.m. for several nights as well…couldn’t get enough. It’s great to finally be retired. 🙂 I’m making my 3rd trip to Cuenca for two months duration (June/July) to hopefully find a place to live. My hubby John, (a teacher) will be down for 1-1/2 months once he gets out of school in June (retires). It would be terrific if you could send me your notes. My email is suziebug98@gmail.com. Right now we are in the process of doing what we can…copies of everything, etc., and will be making a trip to the Ecuadorian Embassy in D.C. in April or May. Your notes will be terrific so we really appreciate it.
Dan and Suzan, John doesn’t realize it, but he’ll be getting your new book in the mail tomorrow per Amazon’s message to me yesterday. 🙂 We can’t wait to call Cuenca our home. Thanks to you all! We are so excited.
