Maya F. Says:
Hello Jessica,
Can you please tell me the rent for a one-bedroom place in David, Panama?
IL Panama Editor Jessica Ramesch Says:
Hello Maya,
While two- or three-bedroom homes are popular in David, you can find a one- or two-bedroom long-term rentals for around $500 a month. Going 20 minutes outside the city center can save you $100 a month, while choosing a more modern home in an area popular with expats may run you a bit more.
For example, today I found a listing for a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home for $575 a month, negotiable. (Most homes have two or more bedrooms; one-bedrooms are harder to find.) It has a semi-closed kitchen with pass-through, a laundry room, air conditioning, a terrace, and a covered carport.
Bear in mind that you can find furnished apartments, others that come with major appliances only, and some that come completely bare… no refrigerator, oven, water heater, washer-dryer, etc.
There’s a wide variety, so ask about all the specifics before signing on the dotted line. It also pays to stay at a hotel for a few days and go see rentals in person to get the best deal.
