From 2025, US passport holders will soon need ETIAS to travel to Europe.
ETIAS is the new travel permit for Americans and other visa-exempt non-EU citizens visiting European destinations such as France, Italy, and Spain. This will be operational in 2025.
Next year, U.S. nationals can continue to go to Europe visa-free for short stays by applying for ETIAS.
