For a decade now, I’ve been telling anyone who will listen about SkyAuction.com, the online travel auction site. Thanks to SkyAuction, I’ve enjoyed a long list of inexpensive vacations.
After a year of planning, my husband and I finally packed our bags, emptied our piggy banks, took our three kids out of school and set off around the world for six months. As we had no salary coming in and were living off of savings, we had to think really hard about getting the most value for our money in the 15 countries we traveled through.
I am in Cerro Azul, a town I haven’t visited in years. It was once the trendsetting place to own a home. Panama’s upper crust continued to buy here from the 1940s through the 1980s.
