More than any other destination that International Living covers, Panama is—hands down—the most popular. And there are so many reasons why…
Nowhere else can you enjoy such a comfortable life…with a year-round mild tropical climate, excellent medical care, fresh, healthy food straight from the farmer’s truck…and a retirement incentive program that’s truly welcoming of expats…
At IL’s Fast Track Panama Conference, you’ll learn how Panama’s Pensionado Program is the most generous and appealing program of special benefits you’ll find anywhere in the world today.
Best of all, you don’t need to be of “official” retirement age to qualify. Just provide documentation of a guaranteed income of $1,000 a month from a government agency (that is, Social Security, disability, armed forces, and the like) or corporation.
As a qualified pensionado in Panama, you’re entitled to: 50% off entertainment—such as movies, theaters, concerts, and sporting events—anywhere in the country, 25% off at restaurants, 20% off medical consultations, 15% off hospital bills (if no insurance applies), and 10% off prescription medicines, among many other perks.
Panama is close to the U.S. too, just a three-hour flight from Miami. It’s politically stable and business friendly. Panama has mild weather, with a climate that offers everything from tropical beaches to temperate mountain retreats. It’s home to some of the best healthcare in the Americas. And Panama uses the U.S. dollar, making it even more convenient for U.S. retirees.
Just ask expat Jim Gault. By moving to Panama, he and his wife Abbe were able to vastly reduce their health insurance costs. “Our healthcare needs are satisfied through a new clinic on the edge of town. Abbe spent $2 to see the doctor for a nasty knife cut on her finger and $2 for two stitches. She had to get an antibiotic, too, which set her back just $8 with her Pensionado discount. On New Year’s Day, she went to the local public hospital, 25 miles away, because she fell off a horse. The ER visit with doctor consultation, digital X-ray, pain medication, and a cast was only $2. A follow-up visit with the orthopedic surgeon was also $2. Doctors here give you their business card with their cellphone number and ask you to call or text them with any questions.
Like Jim and Abbe, you can join the thousands of U.S. expats already living out their dream retirement in Panama.
When you join us in June for the International Living, you’ll hear from all our Panama experts… attorneys, insurance professionals, construction and real estate experts…who can help you better understand the many benefits Panama offers.
We’ve invited expats who have bought second homes, retired, or started up a business in Panama. People who were once in the same position that you are in today. They’ll be on hand to show you how to make your retirement to Panama a reality. See: IntLiving.com/events.
